Kohli donate 6.77 lakhs for treatment of former cricketer mother

India men's cricket captain, Virat Kohli has given an amount of INR 6.77 lakh to a previous ladies cricketer to assist her with the treatment of her mom suffering Covid-19.


India's cricket captain, Virat Kohli has donated an amount of Rs 6.77 lakh for the Covid-19 treatment of K.S. Sravanthi Naidu's mom – S.K. Suman. Sravanthi's mom is in critical condition and she had spoken to the BCCI and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) among others to assist with her treatment.


"Truly, I was flabbergasted at his spontaneous gesture. A particularly extraordinary signal from a particularly incredible cricketer," Vidya told Sportstar. 

"I'm additionally thankful to the Indian handling mentor R. Sridhar who also took up the issue with Kohli," she said.


BCCI South Zone convener and the sister of previous BCCI President Shivlal Yadav, N. Vidya Yadav, had tweeted looking for help for Sravanthi. She had labeled Kohli in her tweet, reacting to which the Indian captain chose to make a commitment. Sravanthi has supposedly effectively spent Rs 16 lakh for the treatment of her folks, who tried positive for COVID-19.


The 34-year old played four One Day women's  Internationals and one Test for India. She holds the record for creating the best bowling figures on WT20I debut (4/9). Naidu played one Test and four ODIs starting in 2014. She was a part of the 2014 India Women's squad for three Twenty20s against Bangladesh and furthermore the Women's World Twenty20.


In the meantime, Kohli has a chaotic timetable ahead. He would initially be driving the Indian team in the much-anticipated debut ICC World Test Championship, which begins on June 18 and will be played in Southampton. At that point, the Kohli-drove Indian side will take on England in a five-match Test arrangement.
